01｜FRONT STRUCTURE
Original Front Construction
ASH STRUCTURE TROUSERS re-engineer the overall proportions of wide tailored trousers, retaining deep pleats and a fluid drape while redistributing the volume between the front and back panels.
A large wrapping panel extends from the back toward the front. Through pleating, panel angles, wrapping construction, and waist proportions, it creates a distinctive sense of volume across the front.
Despite the generous amount of fabric, the front maintains clear vertical lines. In motion, the panels shift with the body, continuously creating different folds and silhouettes.

02｜BACK STRUCTURE
Back Construction & Overall Silhouette
The large panel begins at the back, extends outward to both sides, then turns and wraps toward the front.
Rather than following the conventional visual structure of two-panel tailored trousers, the back becomes the starting point of the entire wrapping construction.
When still, the trousers maintain a complete, fluid drape. While walking or turning, the outer panels naturally open and close, creating different silhouettes from the front, side, and back.
03｜DRAWSTRING SYSTEM
Climbing Cord × Cotton Cord × Film-Coated Finish
The waist combines technical climbing cord with cotton cord, reconfigured through a custom binding system and finished at the ends with a film-coating treatment.
Cords with different levels of rigidity and texture are placed together, creating both material and structural contrast around the waist.
The drawstring system consists of two separate sets:
Outer Drawstring｜ Controls styling, drape, and visual layering.
Inner Drawstring｜ Adjusts the waist and secures the fit.
04｜SIGNATURE C & CYCLOPS
Script C Embroidery × Hand-Drawn Cyclops
The trousers incorporate two graphic elements that have long been part of the (A)crypsis® visual language:
Signature C
Hand-Drawn Cyclops
The script C is embroidered in a tonal finish, while the Cyclops retains the designer’s original hand-drawn lines.
Both are rendered in black and grey tones close to the base fabric, creating a low-contrast relationship with the ash-dyed surface.
05｜LIFE GOES ON

Life goes on.
One of the long-standing statements used throughout (A)crypsis®.
For this piece, the lettering was redrawn by hand and translated into a low-contrast print positioned on the back trouser panel.
Printed in black and grey tones close to the base fabric, the graphic shifts in visibility depending on the folds of the fabric, the light, and the viewing angle.
06｜HYBRID WAIST CONSTRUCTION
Tailoring × Sportswear
The waistband, belt loops, deep pleats, and panel construction of tailored trousers are reconstructed together with the elasticated waistband of sportswear.
Rather than concealing the sportswear waistband inside the trousers, it is flipped, folded back, and reconstructed directly onto the tailored waist structure.
This creates gathers, folds, twists, and varying levels between contrasting materials around the waist.
Sportswear × Tailoring
Two distinct garment construction systems are re-integrated into a single pattern.
Combined with an elasticated waistband and internal drawstring, the Free Size construction accommodates a wide range of waist measurements and wearing positions.
07｜CONCEALED BACK POCKET DETAIL
Concealable Triangular Pocket Flap
The back pocket features a triangular flap that can be concealed inside the pocket.
When exposed, it creates an additional geometric layer. When fully tucked into the back pocket, the trousers return to a clean, minimal tailored back construction.
The detail can be switched between two configurations depending on the styling.
08｜DISTRESSED FRAY FINISH
Finished, then destroyed.
Every panel is first completed with the necessary edge finishing, reinforcement, and structural stitching before undergoing a second stage of manual distressing.
Localized abrasion, thread pulling, and fiber disruption are applied to reconstruct the finished edges into irregular raw fringes.
Finished, then destroyed.
The process preserves the stability of the internal construction while creating an intentionally unfinished appearance on the exterior.
09｜ASH FABRIC & HAND-DRAWN BRAND LOGO
Ash Dyeing × Hand-Drawn Brand Logo
55% Lyocell + 45% Cotton
190 g/m² Twill Suit Fabric
Lyocell provides softness, fluidity, and drape, while cotton adds the necessary structure to maintain the silhouette despite the substantial fabric volume.
The fabric undergoes a specialized dyeing process that creates irregular black-grey tones, hazy coloration, and washed textures across the surface.
The reverse side of selected wrapping panels features the designer’s hand-drawn (A)crypsis® Brand Logo.
Positioned on the interior of the panels, the logo is revealed only intermittently as the wearer walks, turns, and the fabric shifts.
